Prakash Dahal, theNepal Maoist leader Prachanda, has reportedly said his relationship with Bina Magar — now his newest wife — began only after the rumours had started. Based on those rumours, his wife Srijana Pathak decided to leave him, which upset both him and Bina and brought them together, the daily Kantipur has quoted him as saying.
Besides, he has told the newspaper, his marriage with Srijana had not worked. He has reportedly promised to be back soon with his bride and hopes to be active in politics once the current phase — suspension from the party and possible action — is over.
Prakash, 31, divorced once earlier, has a one-year-old son with Srijana, his second wife. He eloped with Bina two weeks ago.
“To tell the truth, my mother arranged the marriage with Srijana four years ago, although I was quite reluctant, and in spite of every effort to improve the relationship, we failed,” Kantipur quoted Prakash as saying. “I could not give much time to the family as I had to move around mostly with chairman Prachanda.”
