Prakash Dahal, theNepal Maoist leader Prachanda, has reportedly said his relationship with Bina Magar — now his newest wife — began only after the rumours had started. Based on those rumours, his wife Srijana Pathak decided to leave him, which upset both him and Bina and brought them together, the daily Kantipur has quoted him as saying.

Besides, he has told the newspaper, his marriage with Srijana had not worked. He has reportedly promised to be back soon with his bride and hopes to be active in politics once the current phase — suspension from the party and possible action — is over.

Prakash, 31, divorced once earlier, has a one-year-old son with Srijana, his second wife. He eloped with Bina two weeks ago.

“To tell the truth, my mother arranged the marriage with Srijana four years ago, although I was quite reluctant, and in spite of every effort to improve the relationship, we failed,” Kantipur quoted Prakash as saying. “I could not give much time to the family as I had to move around mostly with chairman Prachanda.”

The Indo-Nepal border is open; Nepalese and Indian nationals may move freely across the border without passports or visas and may live and work in either country. However, Indians aren’t allowed to own land-properties or work in government institutions in Nepal, while Nepalese nationals in India are allowed to work in Indian government institutions (except in some states) and some civil services (the IFS, IAS, and IPS).

Dharahara, also called Bhimsen Tower, was a nine-storey, 61.88-metre-tall (203.0 ft) tower at the center of Sundhara in Kathmandu. It was built in 1832 by Mukhtiyar (equivalent to Prime Minister) Bhimsen Thapa under the commission of Queen Lalit Tripura Sundari and was a part of the architecture of Kathmandu recognized by UNESCO. नयाँ कामधन्दा वा व्यवसाय सुरु गर्ने अवसर प्राप्त हुनेछ । रोकिएका कामहरू बन्न सक्छन् । तर अरुमाथि भर पर्नुहुँदैन । सानातिना कुरामा अल्मलिने समय छैन, ठूलो आशा देखाउनेहरूले धोका दिन सक्छन् । कामको चाप र दायित्व बढ्नेछ । अरुका जिम्मेवारी समेत वहन गर्नुपर्ने योग छ । पारिवारिक समस्या झेल्ने परिस्थिति सिर्जना हुनेछ । आजका लागि शुभअङ्क ३ र शुभरङ्ग गाढा नीलो हो भने कुनै शुभकर्म गर्नु पूर्व वा यात्रामा जानु अघि आज ॐ सिद्धिविनायकाय नमः यस मन्त्रको कम्तीमा ०८ पटक जप गरी आरम्भ गर्दा लाभ प्राप्त हुनेछ ।

SC verdict opens way to pick IGP based on score

The Supreme Court (SC) has issued a verdict to pick Inspector General of Police (IGP) from among the existing DIGs on the basis of eligibility and appraisal of four-year past performance. The certiorari order of the apex court scrapped the government’s decision to promote DIG Jaya Banadur Chand to IGP and issued mandamus order in the name of government to pick one among the highest scorer DIGS on basis of performance appraisal. A full bench comprising Chief Justice Sushila Karki, justices, Dr Ananda Mohan Bhattarai, Iswor Prasad Khatiwada, Anil Kumar Bhattarai and Hari Krishna Karki issued the order.

“DIG Nawraj Silwal seems to be on top of score while taking into consideration the seniority and performance appraisal on the basis of police regulation”, states the verdict. Eaqrlier, the SC had issued an interim order to the government to stay the promotion of Chand to IGP.

A legal officer at Cambodia’s Customs Department, Rath Nisay, said Tuesday that Finance Minister Aun Porn Moniroth recently signed a letter effectively stopping the sole exporter — U.S. company Ambrosia Labs Ltd. — from carrying out its business. He said the suspension was because of concerns about the health effects on babies of nursing mothers selling their milk. Bronzson Woods, the founder of Utah-based Ambrosia Labs, could not be reached for comment, but said in an interview last year with the Salt Lake Tribune that donors’ children were required to be at least 6 months old to ensure they receive proper nourishment from their mothers’ milk. -

Chinese Defense Minister General Chang Wanquan is arriving in Kathmandu on Thursday for a three day official visit to Nepal. Minister Chang coming to Nepal at the invitation of Defense Minister Bal Krishna Khand is leading a 19-member delegation, said the Ministry of Defense. During his visit, Minister Chang is scheduled to pay courtesy calls on President Bidya Devi Bhandari and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal. He is also to hold meetings with Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Bimalendra Nidhi and his counterpart Bal Krishna Khand. Similarly, it is said the Chinese Minister would visit the earthquake-hit heritages.
